The Thinkfinity Professional Development program is designed to:

• Meet educators' needs for high quality professional development that guides teachers through the vast network of resources on the Internet.
• Provide teachers with the tools and materials necessary to effectively use online resources to benefit themselves and their students.
• Help educators work with their peers to create useful lesson plans, activities and research exercises.
• Leverage a scalable training model to train the largest number of teachers and produce the greatest educational impact.

Learn the Verizon Thinkfinity website purpose; locate resources for your classroom; differentiate types of Thinkfinity online resources and recognize their flexibility; use Web 2.0 tools for teacher collaboration; and develop an integration plan.

Verizon Thinkfinity Train the Trainer
This comprehensive online training session guides educators, who have little to no prior experience with Verizon Thinkfinity through acquiring the knowledge and skills needed to become a Verizon Thinkfinity Field Trainer. This includes the following components: Verizon Thinkfinity’s content and resources, navigation and searching strategies, integration to enhance student learning, and tools and resources available for Thinkfinity trainers, best practice training strategies, and development of a customized training plan.

May 5-June 16, 2010 – This course is filled. Watch for new dates in the coming year.
